HOW WERE MOLLYBABIES BORN?
I have always had a love affair with lemon. Especially zippy, zesty lemon. I wanted a lemon pastry that was delicate, yet exuberant. I wanted lemon meringue pie minus the meringue. I wanted a little burst of flavor sparkle--vivacious and never-to-be-forgotten. So I went to the kitchen and fiddled and fussed for a long time--5 years, in fact--until I had invented and made perfect the original "mollybaby."
